Rooms available for hire at St James.

All rooms have gas central heating, access to refreshment making facilities and disabled access to toilets.

The Parish Hall

Access is from Seamer Road.
Free parking is available in side streets, please respect our neighbours!
Day rates are negotiable with Jan the Administrator.

Main Hall
Main auditorium in Parish Hall. This has a wood block floor.
Size 12 x 8.5m. Seating for 100 chairs. £12.50 per hour. 2 hours minimum.

Upper Room
Is a carpeted area sized 7 x 5.5m and is able to seat up to a maximum of 30. It is up five steps with stair lift. The room is equipped with built in screen, flip chart and whiteboard; a data projector and lap top are also available for this room for a small extra cost.  Hire charges are £10.50 per hour, or on a day / half day basis, the charges are £52.50 per day (8 hours for the price of 5) or £31.50 per half day (4 hours for the price of 3)

Cockleshell Cafe and Kitchen
At rear of Parish Hall this has its own access with steps and a level access through the Main Hall. Vinyl floor covering, underfloor heating. Size 5.5 x 3m. Seating for 15-20 at café style tables. £5.50 per hour.


Café & Kitchen are available to users of the Main Hall and Upper Room outside Café hours.

During opening hours users of the Main Hall and Upper Room can order food and refreshments in advance with the Café Supervisor. Contact via Jan 341466 or ring the cafe supervisor on 0794 30 99961.
Facilities exist for art work to be hung in both the Cockleshell Café and Upper Room (also see 'Gallery' below).


The 'Undercroft'

Activity Room
This is a multifunctional room suitable as workshop space or a meeting room. Size 8.5 x 6.5m. Seating for 30 - 40. £12.50 per hour. 2 hours minimum.
There is an integral kitchenette suitable for production of hot drinks, a disabled access toilet, storage area and also an arts work sink. Storage by prior arrangement only

Gallery
Internal access is up three steps, or a level access from the outside. Vinyl floor covering. Size 10 x 2.5m. Seating for 20 - 30. £8.50 per hour. 2 hours minimum.
Very suitable for exhibitions or as a workshop space or meeting room. Facilities exist for art work to be hung.
