NEWS FROM THE CONCERT BAND. |
| Hello everybody my name
is Malcolm Appleby and I am the Conductor of The Scarborough
Concert Band.
We have been part of St. James Church for over 20 years
and I suppose you could say we are their resident band.
We rehearse every Wednesday Evening in the "Undercroft"
(7-30 – 9-30), which was the "Old Schoolroom"
the difference between what is was like then and how
it is now is vastly different to sat the least.
The Band is made up of woodwind and brass instruments,
and we are always on the look out for musicians of about
grade 5.
One of our projects is to encourage young musicians
to join us so if you know of anyone who enjoys playing
music please ask them to come along on a Wednesday they
will be more than welcome.
